The Albert Kennedy Trust
For over 12 years the Albert Kennedy Trust has been offering services to ensure that all lesbian, gay and bisexual young people are able to live in accepting, supportive and caring homes. They provide housing advice, information support and advocacy services and to lesbian, gay and bisexual young people and professionals working with them. They have strong links with housing providers, youth groups, counselling projects and specialist child/family law solicitors that they can make referrals to. Other services provided include:

Supported Adolescent Placements - working in partnership with social services and other referring bodies to provide placements for lesbian, gay or bisexual young people. The aim of the placements is to provide safe, secure and supportive housing with practical support to enable the young person to develop the skills needed to attain and maintain independence.

Mentoring - Positive adult role models are rarely visible to lesbian, gay and bisexual people. Trained mentors are recruited from the gay and lesbian communities and work both as role models and mentors.
