Title: Board Member
- This role is important to how the organisation continues in the future and stays relevant to its stakeholders, particularly Muslim lesbian, bisexual and trans women. A board member provides strategic advice on where the organisation is going and how it will achieve that. Key decisions are made on how we can support these women and improve their lives on a day-to-day basis as well as in the long-term and finding ways for the women to have a supportive community.

Title: Socials Organiser - If You Want:
to meet interesting women | get free training | develop skills for your CV | be professionally supported | to support other Muslim women with same-sex attractions
General tasks and duties include the following but is not an exclusive list:
- Organise and facilitate diverse social events accessible to Muslim lesbian, bisexual and trans women.
- Sign post interested parties to the Safra Project website or the Director for advice and information on their individual situations.
- Liaise closely with the Director on matters related to the role.
Volunteer requirements:
- Confident and professional manner to be able to run and supervise activities.
- Ability to engage with women and motivate them.
- Support a positive attitude to diverse gender and sexuality.

Title: Policy Volunteer - If You Want:
to influence policy makers | get free training | develop skills for your CV | be professionally supported | to support other Muslim women with same-sex attractions
General tasks and duties include the following but is not an exclusive list:
- Parliamentary and media monitoring
- Producing digests of relevant policy issues
- Assisting in delivering events and actions
- Other, depending on organisational needs
- Liaise closely with the Directors on matters related to the role

Volunteer requirements:
- Commitment to Safra Project’s aims and values
- An interest in policy and/or advocacy work
- Good IT / Microsoft Office skills
- A flexible attitude to work tasks
- Confident and professional manner
- Some knowledge of the UK government and the Parliamentary process (Desirable)

Title: Interpreter/Translator - If You Want:
to help more people access the information on same-sex attractions, Islam and gender identity.
There are many people who need information and help on the issues Safra works on, but English isn’t their first language, so it’s difficult for them to access the resources we can provide. Therefore, this role is an essential communication link between people who need access to information on same-sex attractions, Islam and gender identity and the staff and volunteers who provide the information on our website and in our reports.
General tasks and duties include the following but is not an exclusive list:
- Translate selective pages and reports from Safra Project in an easy to read way.
- This post is not restricted to a location as you would be expected to do the translations from your home and forward your work via email.
- Liaise closely with Safra Project executives, staff and volunteers on matters related to the role.
Volunteer requirements:
- An excellent understanding of English and another language.
- Ability to translate selective pages and reports from Safra Project in an easy to read way.
- Have a positive attitude to diverse gender and sexuality.
